Nikos Zournis, guitarist and songwriter, was born in 1985 in Athens and grew up in Aspra Spitia, a small town where at the age of 15 years old he started music lessons. He learnt to play the classical guitar and at the same time he started learning theory of music. After his graduation of high school he entered the University of Athens, School of Philosophy - Music Department. It was then when he started his appearances on stage playing his own songs or participating as a guitarist in music bands playing folk music. Now he has his own band consisted of five permanent musicians and they play in Athens and all over Greece. 1. "Kalimera" ("Goodmorning") by Maria Louka 2006 (N. Zournis participates with 3 songs) 2. "Apo ti siopi tou chronou" ("From the silence of time") by Manolis Lidakis 2008 (he participates with 1 song on lyrics written by the Greek poet Michalis Ganas) 3. "Hiliometra" ("Kilometres") 2009. His first personal cd where he sings his own songs together with Manolis Lidakis, Maria Louka and Apostolos Rizos. The lyrics of 3 of the songs have been written by Giannis Ritsos and Michalis Ganas. Socrates Malamas helped with the production of the cd "Hiliometra". 4. "Istories" ("Stories") by Maria Louka 2010 (he participates with 1 song) 5. "Ola ta chromata tou mple" ("All the colours of blue") 2012. His second personal cd with 4 songs composed on his own lyrics and other 4 on lyrics written by the Greek poets Manos Eleptheriou, Theodor Gonis and Dionysis Kapsalis.
