简介

"The End Of The World" is the single taken from Pierre Omer's 2012 album ""Stewarts Garages Conspiracy". If you wonder, "Pierre Omer, who's that guy?" this 4-track release might give you a first idea, as it features also his previous albums with one song each: " Who's That Guy" from his solo debut. The Suicide-cover "Shaddazz" is taken from his sophomore "Do The Gipsy Thing". And from "Beso De Novia" by Pierre Omner & The Twango Club, a vinyl only release in 2011, comes his "Girl From Hell". Pierre Omer sings plays guitar, accordion and piano. His music digs up american and european roots from folk to blues and from country to gypsy swing and jive in a rough and electric way from Django Reinhardt to Nick Cave and from Bob Dylan to the Gun Club. Pierre Omer was born in London of an indian father and swiss mother and now lives in Madrid and Geneva. He is a founder member of the legendary swiss funeral rock'n'roll band The Dead Brothers (with several releases on Voodoo Rhythm label) for whom he wrote many songs and played twangy & swing guitars and the accordion. After the band broke up early 2007 he recorded and produced the first Mama Rosin album and started his solo project. "See What's Hidden" his solo debut album, released in spring 2009 was mainly recorded by himself . For his second album, "Do The Gipsy Thing", he took a broader approach in terms of sound with the addition of spanish drummer Santiago Rapallo. For a while he kept this concept of a duo and between 2009 and 2011 Pierre Omer has toured from bars to festivals on the continent together with drummer and strange instruments inventor Julien Israelian. Following to the London recording session of "Stewarts Garages Conspiracy" (2012), his third album, he tours with full band now. The Stewarts Garages Conspiracy Crew (incl. members of Imperial Tiger Orchestra, Grey Mole and The Sh*t). The new album was recorded at Space Eko-studio in London (Martina Topley Bird, Son of Dave). Omer leaves the dark shores of Folk-Noir and opens clearly new musical horizons. The first single "The End of the World", some say, breathes the spirit of The Clash. Well, but you also gonna find ramshackle garage blues, swing songs, a beautiful waltz, and with "Rambling Man" a convincing interpretation of Hank Williams. Pierre Omer manages to combine the old with the current in a personal way. As a composer Pierre Omer has been and still is involved in many projects including films, theater and dance plays. He has written the music for over 15 plays collaborating with directors such as Oskar Gomez, Frédéric Pollier and Camille Giacobino in Geneva, Meret Matter (in the Schauspielhaus in Zürich, the Club 111 in Bern and SchauspielHannover ) and Louisa Merino in Madrid. He has written the score to "Casual Day", a feature film by spanish director Max Lemcke and "Ceux de la Colline" a documentary film by swiss/ burkinabe director Bernie Goldblatt. He also wrote the soundtrack for the kids puppet play "LouLou"
