Mitra Shanti ♫☼♫ Biografía: Spanish description: Inspirado por la belleza, el romanticismo y las complejidades sociales de su tierra puertorriqueña, Mitra Shanti, cuyo nombre de pila es Milton Carrero, empezó a escribir sus canciones a la edad de 17 años, poco antes de emigrar a los Estados Unidos a estudiar periodismo. Obtuvo su maestría en periodismo en el 2001 y se desempeñó como reportero en periódicos anglosajones hasta el año 2004. En el 2002, a la edad de 23 años, sobrevivió a un cáncer testicular que desató en él un despertar en su forma de vivir. En el 2003, tomó el nombre de Mitra, tras certificarse como instructor de Yoga. En el 2004 renunció a los periódicos para viajar con su guitarra alrededor de los Estados Unidos y Latinoamérica, cantando acerca de lo que ve en su mundo interior y el externo. Sus canciones nos llevan desde las bellas playas caribeñas hasta el sufrimiento de una madre minutos después de haber perdido su hijo. Desde la intoxicación del amor hasta la separación de las almas. Mitra Shanti, cuyo nombre significa Amigo de la Paz en el idioma Sánscrito de la India, nos invita con sus canciones a reflexionar acerca del mundo en que vivimos y aquel que una vez nos atrevimos a soñar. ♫☼♫ English description: Inspired by the beauty, romanticism and social complexities of his Puerto Rican homeland, Mitra Shanti, whose original name is Milton Carrero, began writing his songs at the age of 17, soon before emigrating to the United States to study journalism. He earned his Master's in journalism in 2001 and worked as a reporter for various American newspapers until the year 2004. In 2002, at the age of 23, he survived a cancer that unraveled an awakening in his way of living. In 2003, he took the name of Mitra, after earning his certification as a Yoga instructor. In 2004 he resigned to his job in newspapers to travel with his guitar around Latin America and the United States. He has since chronicled in his songs what he sees in his inner and outer world. From the descriptions of Caribbean beaches to the pain of a mother minutes after losing her child, from the intoxication of love to the separation of souls, from the struggles of our daily lives, to the mysticism of death and the wonders of our spiritual paths.
