As both members of this group grew up on Gospel music and were Classically trained throughout school, their dynamic is nothing less than powerful. With vocal acrobatics, live instrumentation, and creative wordplay with lyrics, this debut album lacks no variety. Caleb and Andriea bring different flavors to the table vocally, but they mesh well. Andriea's voice is soft and sultry, while Caleb's is a bit heavier and raspy. Both offer an element of Jazz as they favor blue notes throughout their songs. Complementary is the least that could be said about the voices that make up the group duo ISH. The top half of the album is bold and upbeat, while the other half is more laid back, carrying slow to mid-tempo songs. Though the record is meant to be positive, light, and encouraging, the duo caps off the album with an inspirational song that could be classified in the Gospel genre.
