This album is a glimpse into Charlie Beans' life; howdareyou weaves through narratives based upon his personal relationships. A veteran to the Detroit hip hop scene, Beans released four albums as a member of the group Abrasive Method (A.M.) alongside Tony Franks. He has produced for various artists from Detroit and around the country, respectively. The idea for a solo album came to fruition as Abrasive Method had come to a lull in their recording process for a possible fifth album.
