John has been singing and playing all his life but only discovered an ability for song writing in recent years, creating haunting melodies and poignant lyrics reflecting both British folk and Country while not being influenced by any particular artist or style. A wide range of subjects, with some lighter "tongue in cheek" stuff. Mainly acoustic with some electric tracks woven through the melodies. Outside of the music sphere he has competed at expert level in all branches of off-road motor cycle sport and won BMX World Championships in UK 1986 and Florida USA in 1987.
