简介
Mixing a combination of Soul/Funk/Ska and Rock in a way few musicians can, Soulshine has been knocking out audiences throughout the Midwest. In the late 90’s singer/songwriter Joe Lewis knew he had some hits on his hand. After scouring the local scene he found the right drummer in John Walker. Together calling themselves “Shine” they produced an EP, “Hullabaoo”, which got some radio play. The group was filled out in 2003 with permanent bassist and recording engineer Bill Roe. As luck would have it, John and Bill had been playing in an R&B band together for seven years, and you’ll not find a tighter rhythm section than these two. Changing the name to Soulshine, the trio recorded their first full length CD Inertia. It’s been getting rave reviews from fans and radio stations from throughout the Midwest. From their soulful funk/rock forté in “Getcha Groove On” and “That Thing You Do” to the radio friendly styles shown in “Hold Your Head Up” and “Breathe Easy” and the ska/rock influences demonstrated in “Rocked”, it’s hard to pigeonhole their music. Soulshine celebrates all kinds of music with conviction, pouring everything they have into every track. Get your copy today, there’s nothing like their “Soulfueled Rock” anywhere!
