The brain child of business partners B-12 and Jay Tee, FREE AGENTS is a loosely knit group of "rap comrades" who came together to make a statement about independence and ownership in a turbulent time in the music industry. Taken from the term used to describe professional athletes who are not bound to any one organization (read: ownership), FREE AGENTS accurately describes the attitudes, politics, and mind states of the three members... Make the music, make the money, and f**k the bullshit! FREE AGENTS is comprised of rap superstar Jay Tee (of N2DEEP/Latino Velvet fame), music executive and rap artist, B-12 (of the critically acclaimed underground rap group Riderlife) and up and coming but ferociously talented Young Dru who has appeared on numerous albums most notably the huge selling 17 Reasons Compilation and N2DEEP's fourth album THE RUMBLE. FREE AGENTS debut release is due out in late August of 2002 and is titled BAD COMPANY and is true to the original "way of the Bay" by avoiding an album cluttered with guest appearances and over-priced producers.
