简介
East Side Magic is back in the kitchen with their sophomore release, “Fresh Out The Oven.” Cooking up an eclectic mix of hip-hop and funk, Lithium, Bizoid and Logical continue to break the stigma of the Canadian rap music scene by defying the rules of the genre. Produced by Vancouver's DJ D-Rec (whose credits include Wu-Tang affiliate Timbo King and RA The Rugged Man) and engineered by Lithium, the album is a showcase of each lyricist’s individual skill that ranges from tongue-twisting wordplay to social commentary to braggadocio. But don't think of them as another cut and paste rap trio. They have been compared to the Beastie Boys because of their undeniable group chemistry. Songs like "Ghost Boy Fresh (It's Magic)" and "ESM Is At It Again" have the three rappers trading quick-witted verses back and forth while "Three O's and a Z" and "The City" provide greater perspective insight to their escapades. This year, East Side Magic was handpicked to open for many fan favorites including Tanya Morgan, Masia One, Chillin’ Villain Empire and The Lifesavas. "Fresh Out The Oven" is currently featured on No Apologies Necessary 102.7 in Vancouver, CJSR 88.5 in Edmonton and Beats From The East 1690 in Montreal as well as several other campus radio stations in and around British Columbia. Check out their Myspace and youTube pages for videos and updates on their current and future projects. With music so fresh out the oven, you'll be asking for seconds.
