On 30 April 1986, Ikan Donald Davis known more as Ikan Dakai was born from a strong line of musical and sporting icons. Being the only son of Dr.Donald Davis, renowned publisher,radio host of the controversial "metamorphosis" Radio show on Stylz 100fm in Jamaica, PHD Lecturer at the University of the West Indies and highly accomplished soccer coach known for playing pro on the NY Cosmos with the Legendary Pele, and mom Joy White, the beautiful reggae star known for her many hits, most notably "The first Cut", a rendition produced by the likes of Donovan Germaine and the Penthouse Records. He was predestined to follow in their footsteps but whose? After moving to Kingston where he grew up, he was exposed to a life of sports and music, He eventually drifted towards music and entertainment with the influence of the culture and climate of Jamaica and of course the accompaniment of his two gifted sisters. Nazaria "Dj Naz" Davis,Popular Radio Jockey, Founder of Naz Nation Records and daughter of the Late Don Taylor, (Bob Marley's Former Manager) and talented sister Mystic E. Davis, renowned Dancer,Choreographer and Artiste know for the billboard charts hit "Bubblebut" produced by Major Lazer and featuring international rappers and singer 2chains, Tyga, Bruno Mars. Ikan Dakai, while chasing his dreams, migrated to the United States of America in Boston Massachusetts where he eventually enlisted into the United States Navy and was later stationed in the Asian Pacific. With hardly anytime to work on his music he still managed to find ways to develop and network vastly with other cultures and talents mostly through events coordinating, music collaborations and networking while making great friends along the way. Ikan Dakai returned to the united states in 2015 and pushed everything he learnt into building his label Dakai Entertainment and is very focused on creating quality music and events while sharing cultural experiences and mediums of exposure for other talents through Dakai Entertainment Group.
