简介
Badwolf's second CD "Sleeping Dogs Lie"is a hybrid between the guitar-oriented hard rock and "hair band" sound of the 80's (Van Halen, Queensryche, Dokken, Warrant, Skid Row) and the influences of grunge/alternative groups of the early 90's (Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, and Stone Temple Pilots). With an emphasis on technical guitar playing, vocal harmonies, tight musicianship and catchy songwriting, there's something for any fan of guitar rock on the CD "Sleeping Dogs Lie" from Badwolf. Lyrically "Sleeping Dogs Lie" ranges from humorous tongue-in-cheek songs like "Smooth Elevator" and "I Ain't In Love With You" to more serious looks at life, love, relationships, bigotry, and social issues. Recorded with engineer Tim Woodworth during the summer of 1995, the CD was released in early 1996 and was voted "Best Local Release" by the Wisconsin State Journal's 'Rhythm Section' that year. The song "Smooth Elevator" was voted one of the "Top 5 Songs That Say University of Wisconsin" by the director of National Public Radio's music website (www.npr.org/music) in 2009.
