"Keep up the writing." was what he wrote on the CD he signed that I bought after a show I went to in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the summer back in 2009. Four years later I got around to choosing some songs to capture on a recording as an "I was here" gesture in a big big world. I've written and I've worked at telling the truth from where I stand and these songs are a sampling of one woman's view out the window and one woman's looking in the mirror. "You Stay, I'll Go" was added to the album after we had finished the initial recordings. My drummer, Ben Mailand, and I played it live together from our little booths and I love the way it turned out so much that I had to add it to the itunes digital release.
