Following on his past discography which garnered praise from, among others, Mike Garson (well known for his work with David Bowie, Mark Soskin (pianist with Sonny Rollins), Sim Cain (drummer for the Rollins Band as well as the J.Geils Band) & many print & online reviewers, on his 4th release, Rick has expanded from the piano to also play drums, Rhodes, keyboards & soprano saxophone. For the 1st time, he's added covers of 3 pieces close to his heart, Stevie Wonder's "Black Orchid", Bob Dylan's "Tomorrow Is A Long Time" (with vocals by Branice McKenzie & Charlotte Durkee respectively) & Wayne Shorter's beautiful "Sanctuary". There's also plenty of solo piano for those of you who've enjoyed that aspect of Rick's playing. He considers this his best work yet.
