Rebeletiko@yahoo.com Rebeletiko is a musical conspiracy. The members of Rebeletiko weave their plan in the basement workshop of the turbulent city of Athens. Using traditional Greek instruments, they "conspire" with the sounds of rebetika, of Smyrna, and every kind of folk music from the mainland and islands to the coast of Asia Minor and Pontus. They travel everywhere leaving traces of Greek music, not aiming to distinguish themselves but to unite. After many wonderings Rebeletiko present their first album. Rhythmic variations and improvisational mood compose a mosaic raised through the smoke of streets of Athens.
