‘Current‘ is back after it's summertime debut with another innovative release. Gaining early support from the likes of DJ Q, Mosca, Spyro, Roska and Marcus Nasty amongst others, this EP adopts a different vibe to the melodic vocals of the last, displaying the labels’ diversity, in addition to the spectrum of sounds which fall beneath the 'Funkitek' umbrella. 'CRT002' needs little introduction as it showcases three solid club bangers from the R1 Ryders. The jungle bassline and menacing synths of ‘Low Tread' coincide with it's uplifting chords to fuel it with dancefloor ammunition. The aggressive, gritty and grimey 'Speedbump' is sure to get heads nodding and add energy to any dance. Appropriately titled 'UK Sound' shows the Ryders adding their rugged, 'Funkitek' style to a house template with a percussive tribal swing and progressive elements.
