Dystopia , is a slice of UK feel-good, jazz funk ‘Dystopia’ and lead track from my forthcoming album ‘Dystopia’. The inspiration behind this project desire to revisit my musical roots, reinvent the music of those halcyon days that I’ve always loved to listen, buy and danced too as an ardent collector in the Seventies and Eighties growing up in South London, England.

Dystopia concept is simple. Take a listen to the punch-packing bass line , riding below an electric piano-fueled, funky anthem jam supplied by ‘Mr. Keyboard ‘extraordinaire and 2011, Coffee Talk Jazz Radio – International Songwriter Award Winner, James Colah. You will instantly recognise that ‘Dystopia’ is a keyboard –driven,. Dystopia pays homage homage to the mid seventies and early eighties Club UK scene. Especially to jazz stalwarts such as Ramsey Lewis, Roy Ayers, The Crusaders, Patrice Rushen, Ronnie Forster, Bob James and Donald Byrd whose classic tracks were celebrated by educated dancers and radio listeners.
