Natasha Tinashe Angela Zembe (born 30 August 1990 in Bulawayo), better known by her stage name Ashta Eez, is a Zimbabwean singer, rapper, dancer, model and songwriter. She started having an enormous interest in music and dance from an early age and performed in school plays as well as talent shows. Some of the dance plays were performed at Reps Theatre Zimbabwe, National Ballet Zimbabwe, under June Colette’s Dance School. Ashta Eez, was part of a belly dance group called The Oriental Invasion in South Africa, and also attended Carol Coetze Jazz Plus School of dance, lastly, at a young age she won a dance talent show hosted by Ktv in Botswana. She currently is an Independent diverse artist who is working at a company called Agri-milling in Harare. When Ashta Eez relocated back to Zimbabwe again, (In 2017) she started taking music seriously. In addition, she started recording her music at different studios like Studio Felonies, APK records, No Limits, and Fresh Dirty Flavor. She then started performing her songs at; church functions, Bring it on Talent shows under Mhodzi dancers, at Preezo and Team Legacy’s Hip-hop shows and many more. ”That Money” was her first single which is now on Itunes, spotify and other online stores. Her album called diverse was released in 2018. Her first music video is on YouTube and was played on Zbc. As a result, she wants to release more videos. She has danced in music videos such as Akiliz by Ammara Brown, Mudiwa Hood-take me higher and Mellow Creme-sky high. In addition, she featured in KuTitende music video as a model which showed on good morning Zimbabwe. Ashta Eez also performed as one of the opening acts at John Cole’s launch for his single called ‘skoro skoro’ as well as at Tulkmunny’s album launch. She has collaborated with artists like Mel C, Phreshyzw, Dj Wedenga, Fleekafyre, Quinton Da Hooligan, Brian Johnson and more… At the age of 13 Ashta Eez started writing her own lyrics but would not showcase them to anyone since she was shy and reserved. When she was at Westridge High School Harare, she was selected as one of the students to go represent Zimbabwe by dancing and singing a traditional dance piece in India, however was not able to go due to lack of funds. Ashta Eez grew up with a single hard working mother and her older brother who now resides in USA. She lived in Botswana (8years), South Africa (10 years) and now lives in Zimbabwe in the city of Harare, she loves traveling on vacation to countries like USA, Dubai, etc. During her school years, Ashta Eez was told to stop music and dance due to low funds and had to improve on her poor academics. She then graduated at University of Pretoria with a Bachelor’s degree. She still wants to pursue what she truly loves which is music and dance. Her main goal in life is for her to be the best that she can be in her journey of life through the ups and downs.
