Daytoner - 'Treat Me' EP In March 2013, Daytoner returns to drop the second single from his debut 'Sunburst Radio' LP - 'Treat Me'. Daytoner wrote this tortured tale of relationship frustration in a stripped-back sixties soul format for St Ives residents Lucy Richards (Vocals) and Patrick Redmond (Bass) who supplies a James Jamerson influenced tone to fit a production style described as 'stylish future retro' by the Monkeyboxing.com blog. The release also comes with killer remixes, which are both pure dance floor igniters! Italian vinyl maestro Suonho drops the original vocals into a vat of Salsoul disco glory. There is also a handy dub mix of this version just in case you can't get enough. Fellow Cornish DJ compatriot Tenoshi (Skamla Motown) twists his remix into a Summer Ska anthem, adding additional toasting talent courtesy of Deemas J (collaborator with Wrongtom, Tru Thoughts Recordings). Tenoshi also displays his own musicianship in the new horn lines of his mix, selecting a sound ideal for his role as the official resident DJ for the sensational Jamaican Olympic Team at London 2012! Finally Daytoner has also recently completed remixes for New York label Electric Cowbell Records, Mankoora (Hiperbole Records, Germany) and The Brand New Heavies (Pedigree Cuts) which are all due for release in Spring 2013.
