From the very bold opening line of the album "Hey, hey Little Mama, where're ya going when the sky falls down?", it's clear that you're about to experience a hook-laced conversational piece. The infectious melodies weave in and out of a multitude of genres from song to song, making this debut album a very confident outing. The sometimes chaotic approach to the layout of each track makes for an adventurous trip through what could be considered a pop-folk album if it weren't for so many nods to genres of yesteryear (jazz, doo-wop, swamp blues). This is by no means a concept album as it comes across more like a collection of greatest hits from an artist who's just now coming out of the woodwork. It would be a disservice to both the listener and the artist to simply sample listen each track rather than indulging in the 45 minute commitment this album begs of you to make.
