简介
Twenty-twelve marked a monumental year for the Young Bear Singers. It wasn’t the first year they sang together, but it was the first year they traveled extensively as a group. Jump started with the release of their debut CD, “Keeping It Old Style,” it was a year filled with many memorable moments. Young Bear was crowned Northern singing Champions at 2012 Gathering of Nations Powwow and followed the year up with some singing contest success, host drum invitations and capped it off by winning the Aboriginal People’s Choice award for best Traditional Powwow CD. Twenty-twelve will never be forgotten. Thankful of all the opportunities presented to them up to this point, it is now time to move on. Young Bear will continue to carry on in a good way without looking back. The future is not looked at through rear-view mirrors. The success of the future is about singing with their brothers and doing it with the honor of their uncles and grandfathers, under the family name, for the world to hear. “A year on the road as a group will teach you a lot about each other and those that surround you, who will support you no matter what and who will give you those encouraging words when you need to hear them. But regardless of the circumstances, where you come from, who you sing with, whether you’re facebook friends or not (lol), Young Bear loves you all. We’ll see you soon. Here we Come!”
