This collection of songs is an accumulation of 30 years of playing, writing, gigging, loving and searching. Our debut album is full of freshman energy and veteran experience. Many of these songs were written at sea aboard a tugboat, where I was a captain for 25 years. "Stuck in Rehab" is more about family and addiction,than rehab. "Go Down or Go Deep" was written in very heavy seas. "School" was written for my 20 year old son, Brody, when he was 4. "Chains" is my observation on struggling in this world."Vengeance" is my "Tip O the Hat" to reggae and is about revenge killing the vengeful. "Souled Out" is about me being optimistic about my journey and letting my soul fly. "Beware Of My Dogs" is a fun one, just for fun. "Life's A Garden, Dig It" is a homecoming story with a feel good beat. "Buska" is my take on street musicians. I am always supporting their cause. "Strong Back/Weak Mind is an average man's, like me, anthem. Inspired while humping gear in and out of a studio for my friend Carl.

Mr Gold Mr Mudd is the only cover on the album and was written by one of my song writing heroes, Townes Van Zandt, who left us too soon. Finally, the bonus track is a rocking' version of "Go Down or Go Deep", which was so good we couldn't leave it out. Hope you all enjoy this collection and it invokes thought, love, peace, soul and fun in you.
