简介
"Jammed" is the debut album by Flashpoint, an Irish/folk band comprised of three of the finest young musicians from the north Texas area: Joseph Carmichael and brothers David and Daniel Mehalko. Featuring a variety of instrumentation (including fiddle, banjo, mandolin, flute, and low whistle) and a tasteful mix of various styles, "Jammed" proves to be an exciting listening experience that is appealing to general audiences yet still true to the tradition of Irish music. REVIEWS: “The group’s fine musicianship is on display throughout the album...full of great instrumental playing and fast, crisp arrangements that jump between rhythms, dynamics and style with seemingly effortless aplomb.” -- Daniel Neely, Irish Echo “Jammed...is certainly jammed full of evidence of this band’s collective talent. Their sound is pure trad, played with exuberance, joy and a genuine love for the music. They know what they’re doing and they’re having fun doing it.” -- Jack Baker, Irish American News CREDITS: Joseph Carmichael: Guitar, flute, and low whistle David Mehalko: Fiddle Daniel Mehalko: Banjo, mandolin, and low whistle on "Sliabh Russell" (track 7) Joseph plays a Takamine GS330S guitar and a Terry McGee flute.
