简介
This album is, hopefully, the first of many for musician Joshua Trent Brown. Recorded at Nightsound Studios in Carrboro, NC, the self-titled EP "Joshua and the Battle" is an effort to show the emotions of youth and their struggle through faith and love. "No Need to Hide" is a true showing of compassion, written in the thought of two of his dear friends who were soon to be married. "Walk You Home" takes the listener through the journey of first falling in love with another. "Forest Faith" is a scripture influenced walk through the life of a teenager coping with depression and learning to have faith. "Shout" is meant to praise, influenced heavily by Psalm 150:1-6. "Break Down" relates to the emotional struggles of growing up and gives hope. "8-19-16" was written directly before recording, in a moment of raw emotion that is portrayed by it's simplicity. This album is meant to be a new start and remembrance of the past.
