简介

Classically Un-trained, DreamScapey Piano, builds along with rich, lush, "take you to church" hammond organ. TextureHugely influenced by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Richard Wright, general sound kind-of stems from those two wrapped into one (in composition, keyboard stylings, and lyrical content) if I may so flatter myself. Except, of-course for the Awesome guitar (I leave that up to my friend J Woolbright, who's Soul Ripping Rock-Re-Defining leads, you will hear featured on Track 10 - Get the Fawnk Out) though barely a teaser on what is yet to come of our frequent collaboration. Other Guitar work, not provided by me, was the chopped up samples of Lead Guitar work of Matty G. which can be found bouncin around on the Instrumental - Here Ya Go, track 8. Parts of em were just WAY TOO KOOL not to use. BESIDES, wheres the fun in a completely alone solo record right? I will make the rest of this short and sweet. This Album - RADAR in the Dark, is a result of 33 years of bottled up abilities that I have been keeping to myself long enough. I am playing all that you hear except for the parts described above, and the underlying beat on "Here Ya Go". I stole it from de La Soul perhaps, who may have borrowed it from someone and so-on. Hey, I could only hope for enough attention that would have them looking to me for their cut. The ALBUM was Composed, Performed, Recorded (engineered tracking, post-production, and attempted Mastering) by me, Tim Collins. Right here in the home studio. This ALBUM project began as, one way or the other, a way to share my music, my self. Also, having wanted a career in Filmscoring since I was 13, I thought it to be more like a resume in CD form, compiled from piano pieces written while being performed, off the top of my head by the skin of my... As the ideas became easier to translate, slow down, and make sense of (as well as learning to find a way to document enough on paper to memorize ideas - Being a composer of NO formal training...), the album became all that it was allowed to be. Meanwhile, Im learning how to stay out my own way throughout the course of this. I guess thats a long winded version of, "I got serious about what I'm doing here!". I hope the same appreciation for time, that was poured into this album as well as derived from it, can be a little more realized by ALL the owners of ALL the ears it is lucky enough to fall upon. So much for short and sweet... ENJOY and THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. Hope you get it forward!
