As the most in depth work from ViewOfAKind to date, it being that James Orton performs all of the instruments once again, with exception to drum tracks supplied by nearly a decades old software. The Album even takes its art work from an original painting by the musician/artist. In this his fourth full length record and for the first time a work available on vinyl, "Manito Comps" makes record of the independent creativity found on a street in Algonquin, IL "Manito" and "Comps" for Compilations would many times be a written label on projects when to categorize a certain project in audio or video. Such projects were early three piece recordings by 8mm video tape and transferred to shady one sided audio pieces, this the spirit of true "make do". Never being trained vocally or musically, but proudly independent, James tells the hopeful story of a moody young heart and a clever soul, inspiring others and who in return, inspired here. The solo work on guitar and keys tries it's best to include all things unprofessionally tamed but nothing left without the deepest contemplation.
