As the sole producer of his first two albums and latest EP (Stagefright [2011], The Red Headed Enemy [2013], Love Without Me EP [2014]), he handles every song with care. Dedicated to creating a sound that reflects the organic nature of his songwriting, McKillen brings life to songs recorded mostly in his Chicago apartment. The result is an evolving sound that couples a powerful and passionate voice with a fusion of musical genres including folk, pop, and rock. The process of recording, mixing, producing, and even creating the artwork for his musical endeavors is a labor of love. His 2014 release "Love Without Me" features 7 tracks that represent a significant departure from his more traditional folk / acoustic sounds of the past.
