The first Dub album from Greece! Industrial Democracy is the creation of PROFESSOR SKANK aka Stefanos Paterakis, a member of the oldest Greek reggae band Soul Fire and widely known by his collaborations with MAD PROFESSOR and IRATION STEPPAS. The album’s title according to its creator represents contemporary social reality, where democracy has been replaced by the intrusion of TV and industrialized pseudo-democracy with artificial and mass institutions. On another note dub is a technique witch began when various reggae producers started experimenting with equalizers, effects etc. altering traditional roots reggae sound and creating new studio dub versions. This style has been so successful and is used today by most music styles. Professor Skank in “Industrial Democracy” gives 10 history lessons of Dub, which represents timeless and human values, at the same time making a point about the present democratic political situation.
