"One of the hardest working hip-hop acts in Milwaukee", which is not a self-proclaimed title but one given to them by their peers, the crew known as Malicious continues to evolve musically and raise the bar well over a decade into their existence. Driven by the smooth, calculated flow of sole original member T.R.E. and the explosive rants of fellow lyricist Kimma, along with the master production of Kid Krossova, Malicious boasts a musical catalog that runs five albums deep. Together with their DJ, Ya Boi Pep, T.R.E. and Kimma exude a stage presence with an energy and intensity that can be matched by few others. Their style can be described as classic hip-hop with cinematic overtones that guarantee every track will be epic. They are also known for hosting the event "Drunk'n Cipher Saturdays", a platform for local hip-hop artists (known and relatively unknown) to come together and display their talent, which now in its fifth year, is one of the city's longest running hip-hop showcase nights. Malicious is currently gearing up for the release of “For Whatever It’s Worth”, their second album on Milwaukee’s very own Uni.Fi Records (sixth album overall). The album release party is set for 11-27-10, which will also mark the final installment of the Drunk’n Cipher concert series.
