"Heartbeat Highway" was recorded in Oct. 2004 in Sydney, Australia, with two of the Feral Swing Katz legends Stuart French (Producer, guitarist and backing vocalist) along with Michel Rose on pedal steel and dobro. The Ferals are Australia's premier western swing band. James Gillard on bass from another legendary Australian band The Flood, Garry Steele on Piano and Accordian with Rudy Miranda/Joel Davis on drum details. Spectacular backing vocals by Camille Te Nahu, Kate McCarthy and Doug Rowe. The song selection for "Heartbeat Highway" came directly from the "live performance" favourites. A very strong roots country, rockabilly retro dance theme runs throughout the music, which again spans many decades and styles in country music.There's even a couple of yodelling favourites. A self confessed "60's kid",Clelia's retro mix of songs is evocative and engaging, impeccably played by Australia's finest musicians, and true to the spirit of their genre. Clelia took out the prestigious TIARA (Tamworth Independent Artists Recognition Award),for the self penned title track "Heartbeat Highway" at the 2006 Tamworth Country Music Festival. This award was the "icing on the cake" for Clelia after a huge year of national tours performing at Australia's major festivals. "HEARTBEAT HIGHWAY" gave Clelia her highest ranking on the European charts yet, reaching #4 on the ECMA chart (March 28, 2006), on Hillcrest 28, track 5. The song is still charting in Australia (NFS 103, track 10, and is currently on the Australian Countrytracks Top 30 chart at # 15 (1 July, 2006). Clelia was also been nominated in the first round of artists for the FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR and ARTIST OF THE YEAR in the ECMA Awards (European CM Awards) for 2006, alongside musical heroines Faith Hill, Dolly Parton, Gretchen Wilson and other top global artists.
