简介

Bobby and Mark Atkins together have that father and son harmony that if you're not blood related is hard to copy. They lay their talents on 8 bluegrass gospel flavored tunes. Like Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs "Get In Line Brother" and Jim Eanes' "In His Arms I'm Not Afraid", to more country oriented numbers like Kitty Wells' "How Far Is Heaven" to tradition favorites like "When They Ring Those Golden Bells" and "Amazing Grace". Bobby's claim to fame in the past has been as one of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys. He appeared on the Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs' Martha White TV Show and on the soundtrack for the motion picture "Preacherman", plus he starred in the sequel "Preacherman Meets Widor Woman". The True Brothers, Jacky and Roger come from Greensboro, North Carolina. The home of Mr. Country Rock Billy "Crash" Craddock of 'Rub It In' fame, which gained renewed popularity when it was used for a TV commercial as "Plug It In". And covered recently Capitol artist Matt King. Jacky and Roger have been on the scene since 1990, have appeared in the motion picture "The Dam" {1996} and one the Ernest Tubb Midnight Jamboree. Have made several appearance at the Country Music Fan Fair in Nashville and in a national Country Music Cookbook for IFCO {International Fan Club Organization}. Had reveiws done in nationa publications such as "Country Standard Time", "Country Music People", "Power Source" and "Bluegrass Unlimited". Not to mention one out of Canada and "Country Music People" is out of London, England. They have released two projects now with the Atkins Clan. On this one they apply their duet harmonies to the bluegrass gospel genre and have written all eight of the numbers that appear on this package. Charlie Louvin of the World Famous Louvin Brothers calls them the REAL DEAL in his liner notes for their "Third Man" album. In addition to him they have received liner notes by Billy "Crash" Craddock and David McCormick, owner of the Ernest Tubb Record Shop. If you like good old gospel music performed in the bluegrass style of Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs this album is definitely for you. Tracy Austin Spring - 2006
