Having spent 15 years in Dubai, and coming across a lot of different cultures and music styles, it was very easy for my taste in music to shift and change. I've always enjoyed contrast;either in art or music, this is what led me to writing this EP. I wanted to blend two different genres together to create something new. I've always been a big fan of Oriental music from South East Asia/Japan/China, and as i was growing up began to enjoy more and more Trip Hop/Hip Hop (The young metal head/punk me would have hated me haha). I've been playing bass guitar for 11-12 years and have had a strong pull for rhythm, which is what led me to Trip Hop/Hip Hop. These songs aren't just "tracks" they are performances, which i have edited,mixed and arranged. Electronic music nowadays is too robotic and doesn't have a "human" feel to it, which is why i chose to write this EP from a performance perspective, it allowed me to focus on the "song" and not on the individual elements which can distract you from the "writing".
