简介
New Jersey-based SHARON GOLDMAN has been called a "brilliant tunesmith" (NY Music Daily) whose vivid imagery and intelligent, inventive storytelling take folk-pop to new, more powerful places. After receiving national folk/indie radio airplay for her previous full-length solo album, SLEEPLESS LULLABY (2010), as well as the opportunity to take part in the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival's Emerging Artists Showcase in July 2011, Sharon's latest album, SILENT LESSONS, takes her artistry to a new level of production and musical arrangement. The eight-song recording was produced by longtime collaborator THAD DEBROCK, a Brooklyn-based guitarist/composer who has worked with top artists including Duncan Sheik and Ari Hest, and was part of the original band in the Broadway show "Spring Awakening." Other stellar musicians who contributed to the project include drummer DOUG YOWELL (Suzanne Vega), bassist JEFF ALLEN (Duncan Sheik) and Juilliard-trained cellist NOAH HOFFELD. "Not one note, not one lyric out of place...Sharon's writing and sound calls to mind the best from Shawn Colvin and Kirsty MacColl. She is producing music that deserves careful listeners. I urge you to listen along carefully with me." -- Charlie Silvestri, Host, Up Close and Acoustic
