简介

In 2001 while playing trumpet with The Monkees I got to see the last boy band created by Lou Perlman (creator of N'SYNC) called Natural. This experience excited me and made me want to be in a boy band, I thought the first step would to be work on my voice with some original songs about love. So I saved my money and bought a Yamaha QY-100 sequencer, which is just a portable manipulatable band in a box, so I could write music in a hotel or on the bus. Then when we would have time off I would practice/record vocals and trumpet in my apartment in Brooklyn. So half the record was written on the road and the other half was written in my apartment. After 9/11 happened finishing this record was my only way out of such depressing air! Eric Biondo is a trumpet player, vocalist, drummer and keyboardist. His hobbies include playing trumpet, singing, drumming and taking vitamins. From 2001-2003 Eric played trumpet on The Monkees reunion tour, his wardrobe included many faded Davy Jones hand me downs. In Eric began touring with Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, playing sold out shows all over the world. Eric also may have been spotted playing live or recording with Barry Williams (Greg Brady from the Brady Bunch), The Drifters, Sinead O'Connor, Burning Spear, Medeski, Martin and Wood with Antibalas Horns, FunkeyMonkeys, Otis Day and The Knights, Roger Daltrey, Celebration, T.V. On The Radio, Pela, Stephonik, Foals, Massive Attack, Zack De La Rocha, Thought, Disco Biscuits, State Radio, Andrew D'Angelo, Dirty On Purpose, Rocket Engine, Michael Leonhart, Lauren Smith, Ted Poor, Eternal Buzz Brass Band, Elysian Fields, Teddy But, Bright Black Morning Light, The Bridesmaids, Straight Forward, Africa Plays On, The Barbarians, The Barbarian Horde, Hootie and The Blowfish, Spanky Wilson and the Quantic Soul Orchestra, Volney Litmus, William Parker, Billy Bang, Cordero, The Barbarians, Reverend Vince Anderson, The Teo Macero Big Band and Amayo's Fu-Arkestra. He also co-wrote a song called Somedays with Anti-folk star Regina Spektor on her latest 2005 release Soviet Kitsch (Sire Records).
