For two years these songs have been ongoing. Isaac Alexander's previous band, The Etheriol, found an underground following their album release in 2012. Isaac has spent four years honing his skills and finishing a degree in music, and, after creating several hundred compositions that he created with the piano (most of which haven't been released), Isaac has returned to his roots; long, sometimes beautiful, sometimes intense rock music. Isaac recorded every single instrument himself inside his studio in East Vancouver, also known as Evolve Music Studio. He started with recording every single guitar track and scratch Vox, and then systematically recorded all the other instruments over the course of a year, expressing a long story through lyricism and music. "The only goal of the album," Isaac has stated, "Is to affect people to their emotional core, and understand the heart behind love and those who have mental disabilities." The story of the album, Isaac says, is about someone with Schizophrenia. It's inspired by Isaac's favourite band, The Who, and his favourite album, Quadrophenia, that is also about a schizophrenic person. The difference though, says Isaac, is that this was written from personal experience with someone who I loved for many years. Each song is intended to be a direct continuation of the last one, and the song is intended to essentially be one very long song.
