Formed in 2013 by the lead singer Clinton Benoit, Kreyol Alternative has become one of the most influential and successful alternative/kompa cover band in the HMI. Kreyol Alternative is comprised of many talented musicians. The band has scored many fans, especially after their "Respect to Zekle" project. Kreyol Alternative is commonly referred as the “big band”, because of the caliber of musicians it assembles on the stage. The regulars of the band include: Ti Claude Marcelin, Meredith Augustin, Macarios Cesaire, Jean Max Valcourt, Clinton Benoit, Yahoi Ikawa, Tony Max, Shedly Abraham, Phillip Michel, Bobby Raymond, Michael Johnson, Karl Lynden and Kate Amrine.
