The Groove created by Funk rhythm, the essence of Soul, African culture and Jamaican music, these are some of the elements which form a strong musical and personal bond between 4 musicians from Rome, who have been performing on the national and international scenes for more than a decade. After taking part of different bands and successful collaborations (Scott Henderson, Ghetto Priest of Asian Dub Foundation, Adrian Sherwood), the band formalized its partnership in 2008, driven by its need of express its own concept of music: the group was called Mementoz. The tribute to 70’s Funky Jazz classics (Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis..), blended to current trends (Oz Noy, Medesk Martin & Wood, Sooulive, Orgone) is the essence of this band, who decided to produce its first record in 2010. Uncountless jam sessions, accurate sound, and creativity define their debut album called “Brain, body and Soul”, due in April 2012, followed by the Ep "MIss you" (2013)
