简介
I grew up steeped in the unique sights and sounds of California’s farmland. Many instruments were forced upon me as a child. There was abuse in my family, mainly musical in nature. Performing, songwriting, and composing came later. What else about me? I learned from George Strait never to drop names I got to sing with Patty Loveless I bumped into Collin Raye backstage at a Lin Phillips jam and he said... "sorry" I opened for Lacy J. Dalton. She called me the real deal. So my life is pretty much complete. I got to hang out with Neal McCoy and his band, and even signed my autograph on some groupie's backstage pass because she insisted I was part of the band. I am a 90's country fan I dislike people who say "I" too much I lead the Reno chapter of the Nashville Songwriters Association International I teach vocal coaching I can't play guitar that well I blame the guitar I have been humbled by teenagers I like 9th, 11th, and 13th chords even though they are illegal in Nashville I like a good walking bass line and smooth melody I will invert chords when you are not looking I came up fingerpicking and can't really flat pick without dropping it I don't trust horses I will mention my new vintage boots if I meet you I am probably hitting on you I am obsessed with your hair. And by that, I mean my hair. And yours. But mostly mine. I am an adorable narcissist I was an instant Garth fan when I saw him live I think you're legit if you can bring it with just a guitar and voice I may or may not have jumped in front of Johnny Cash's bus for an autograph I think Chris LeDoux is the real deal I know Sammy Kershaw likes chef salads I think Toby Keith was moody the day he signed my guitar I tried to catch Alison Kraus but she gave me the slip I hope Michael Peterson knows how important he is I met a girl at the Randy Travis concert. It didn't work out.
