The Pickle Jar is my second album of original music. It is a collection of songs about a few pickles I've found myself in, that turned out to be blessings. This album features remarkable musicians from Portland, Oregon including Drew Shoals on drums, Jamie Stillway on guitar, Arthur Parker on bass, Skip von Kuske on cello, and me on vocals and piano. The music on this album explores many different genres from something Alison Krauss-esque, to old-timey jazz, to country, to funk, to classical, to rock. Meanwhile, the lyrics and Lesley's extremely versatile voice are what drive each song with a mixture of quirky and vulnerable.
