Maya Victoria Singer/songwriter Maya Victoria Agnew, professionally know as Maya Victoria was introduced to music at a very young age. Growing up in and around church she was an active member of the church choir for most her childhood. By age 16 she had secured a record deal as a singer/writer with Sony Recordings. Maya Returned to her roots in music after her time in Cal. State East Bay, in which where she earned a B.A in Communications. In 2012 the eloquent singer/songwriter self-released her debut album Meant To Shine, which sold 5,000 copies and placed her under a local spotlight. Deriving from influences such as: Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Etta James, she has come to create her own unique Style. Infusing her sensually captivating voice and original song writings , she has been described by many as a Fantastical Seamless blend of genres, while staying true to her deeply embedded choir and soul roots.
