"In the Morning Sun" (Track Three) is Totally The Rolling Stones meets Bo Diddely meets The Beatles meets Peter Blast with its Conga beats and woo, woo's added in Peter still finds a way of adding in his own musical signature to make this track his own. Maybe the most melodic and commercial orientated track is number four "Ride". Starting out with simple folk music as a beginning, the track builds up steam into a more up tempo electric sound in part reminding you of the Birds of the nineteen sixyies, with well thought out lyrics and story line and don't forget those Melodies and Hooks that really hit home. This Track still recieves radio air play WorldWide. Available world wide on Amazon for physical sales and Downloads, itunes etc.. CD Review: The N.Y. Waste, by: Starr Tucker, 2010. A sprinkle of Gino Martino, Rick Richards and Dan Curry among the choosen few and you have something going on. This CD, EP Really gets your Mojo working. CD Review: Sugarbuzz magazine, by: Cary Doll, N.Y.C. , Sept. 2010. Quench your Rock n Roll Thirst with Peter Blast. The EP "Straight Up No Ice" opens with " Up On The Silver Screen", which is ode to all the Silver Screen chicks who have tripped Peter's trigger and who he'd like to " give a little kiss right there on the cheek" to. There are some great rock guitar riffs going on here with Peter and Rick Richards and Peter also has Pablo Castro on Piano, Sami Yaffa on Bass and Drummer Dan Curry. "The Last Puff" is all business, and um, is about scoring in Chinatown as he sings "Let me take you down, Let me take you down, down, down, down". There is a slightly sinister tone in Peters vocal as he sings "The Last Puff". The video for this track includes footage from the U.S.A. and Buenos Aires, Argentina Live shows and has been viewed WorldWide. " In the Morning Sun" is Pure Peter Blast even with its woo,woo chours. This is the story of a chick who's got the ying and yang thing going on. " Bellbottoms, flowers are in her hair. Everyday she's like a loaded gun, a star gazer floating on her back in the morning sun". Again Peter weaves different genres and the yin-yang of life so effortlessly, it makes you wonder if the devil was on one shoulder, and an Angel on the other as he wrote the song. Peter delves into his folky side with "Ride", but then wait a minute or so, is it Pop ? as it turns more up tempo. This track straddles the tightrope between rock, folk and pop, a mixture of styles that are a beautiful blend. These songs grow on you the more you listen to them. I liked them alot at first but now I love them.
