Lancashire’s self styled acoustic singer-songwriter matt swift, sings about life, loss, love and the state of the world. His songs are both introspective and retrospective. He believes in writing about things that matter: “Songs are like a time capsule of a moment in time that you can never have back. But can look back when you listen to them.” Matt has been on the local circuit (Liverpool / Skelmersdale) for 12 years and within that time has played at some of the best live venues in the region, including; The View Two Gallery, The Cavern, Studio Two, Parr Street, The Engine Rooms. More recent gigs saw a first gig in South Liverpool at Festival Express (April 2011) at Vinyl, Lark Lane, one of Liverpool’s best kept secrets. Also a return to the View Two, Mathew St. Matt’s most recent gig was at The Clove Hitch, National Autistic Society fundraiser (21/4/11), quite possible his best gig to date, with no less than 3 encores, and what a lovely audience... The Lesson Over EP was arranged and produced by good friend and fellow musician Barry Briercliffe. http://www.barrybriercliffe.co.uk The EP comprises of 6 tracks - produced and recorded by Barry, who is a post graduate in music from Hope University, Liverpool. The songs take the listener on a journey through life. Songs of love, hope, experience and the state of the world today.
