简介
Wilmand Lejulus, better known as Mr.Will is a native of Jean-Rabel, Haiti, born in January 2nd 1984. Eight ears after his mother passed away, him included his siblings packed bags and moved to South Florida (Broward Country), with the effort of his father in 1997. Growing up as a young kid, going to church was never an option but rather an obligation. Even after moving here in the U.S with his Father there wasn’t any difference to the rules. During his teenage years, he joined the church youth choir where he began learning how to play the Drums and the Guitar. Later on he was introduced to hip-hop music by his colleagues in school, then quickly fell in love with the genre, and the culture. He admitted that it was mainly through hip-hop music that he learned how to speak English. Similar to many High School students, Wilmand didn't seem to have too much desire to go to College at first, In 2002 after graduating High School he immediately started taking classes at a community college after being pressured by his father, and peers. In 2003 after being awarded a $5,000 scholarship, he took $2,000 and invested it into the recording and the pressed-up of his first CD “GODSWILL 2003” (distributed online through cdbaby.com). Wilmand’s father came home one day, saw several boxes of CDs sitting in the living room, and came to find out later that Wilmand had more interest in music than School. His father asked him to move the CDs and all his belonging out of the house. In early summer of 2003 he took all three boxes of CDs and some of his belongs that could fit in his Nissan Maxima, and took off to Atlanta GA with only $200 to his name. His destination, and purpose was unknown at the time. During the first three months of his arrival in Atlanta he slept in his car, public rest-rooms, he sneaked in hotels lunch room in the morning to eat breakfast, and listened to the radio in his car, sometimes he would fall asleep and the battery would run out, he recalled. In early 2004 Wilmand eventually linked up with a fellow Haitian-American music producer. Every week he would spend half of his paycheck on buying beats and studio time. A year and a half later, the producer who had promised to get him connected with some of his Music Executive friends have failed to fulfill his obligation, Wilmand then realized that his passion for music, and lack of understanding for the business was draining his life. In January 2006, he enrolled at “American Intercontinental University” where he began to learn the technical, and the behind the scenes aspect of Filmmaking, Mass Media, Music, and Entertainment. Fast-forward to 2009, during a three-year period he was able to write, directed, edited, and produced three short-films of his own, under his “Godswill Productions” company. During the fall of 2007 after he was noticed by a Filmmaker turned Music Executive for his musical talents, and was offered to sign to a production deal. Fast-forward, nearly two years later where he has recorded over a 100 songs, currently doing shows, writing/singing hooks for other artists, and with his hit single “ I Want This Chick” currently picking up airplays on the radio. Mr. Will, best known as an entrepreneur, Recording Artist, Filmmaker, Guitarist, and Pioneer.
