Indeed she does. Lenore Raphael has clearly listened and been influenced by the bebop greats of the bebop era of the 1940's. Influenced by Clifford Brown recordings of tunes like Jordu, Daahoud and Joy Spring, she has also absorbed much of the romanticism of the mainstream '50's, a la Bill Evans. Lyricism and virtuosity plus originality abound in her style. Always upliftng and joyous, her music is "eminently listenable...the name that first comes to mind is Bill Evans"...G.
