The Calla's Waltz project started with a phone call from a record industry veteran, now retired from Warner Brothers Records. "You know inside you, that this could be something special. I know that too!" So the players and collaborators were selected, the recording projects planned and the Calla's Waltz album created! Calla's Waltz was produced by Paul Mills and recorded at a number of locations in North America with a superb team and some great songs, old and new - original and traditional. Veteran, maestro performers, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason join Jed for three original songs - as does popular young Scottish button accordion player, Hugh Morrison. Celtic fiddler, Gordon McLeod arranged strings, performed mandolin and fiddle tracks and engineered three tracks. Young, rising star, traditional players, Shane Cook on fiddle and Joe Phillips on bass perform brilliantly on several tracks - and last but not least long time, veteran performer, Curly Boy Stubbs lends a hand on a number of tracks.
