Ohio-born and bred, Sarob (stylized "sarob.") is known for his ability to write verses with a poetic punch and deliver them with an equally potent proficiency. Sarob embodies the class of a legendary MC meshed with the freshness of a rising artist exploring new styles and sounds. He developed his skills in spoken word as a high schooler, seeking a way to impress and gain acceptance from his peers. Fast-forward five years to when Sarob released his critically-acclaimed project, 'The Down' (Winter 2015), receiving praise from 2DopeBoyz, The Place For Things, Sounds and Silence, and more. The following summer, Sarob earned recognition from Brooklyn’s Elevtr Trax after pairing up with dream-pop duo Fine Animal for a cross-genre collab (Summer 2016). On stage, Sarob has supported the likes of Super Duper Kyle, King Chip, Curren$y, Phony Ppl, and Asher Roth. In 2016, he had over 40 shows and a mini-tour in his home state supporting 'The Down'. After studying at the University of Oxford, UK, graduating from Denison University in 2016, and amassing over 150,000 hits on Soundcloud, Sarob has performed at Ubahn Fest, sharing the same stage as Murs and Brother Ali. Sarob continues to write, compose, and produce new music while working full-time in Ohio politics, which he says is “a source of inspiration for social good” — a good that ultimately speaks through his music.
