简介

THE HO KAM LO MYTHOLOGY Ho Kam Lo's story is set in an alternate Earth during the rule of the Han Dynasty (206 - 220 BC) on the legendary trading route called "the Silk Road". This is a universe where all that humans believe or have believed truly exists. It's a strict order that places a "Supreme Being" as the ultimate "God of gods" and at the feet of The Supreme...a long list of lesser gods, devils, demons, and angels. There are also beings that are "celestial" in nature, or perhaps "supernatural", who are neither gods or human but rather mark an ascension of human kind, an example of what all could achieve...if they are good enough. In this universe "The Supreme Being" has appointed a "manager" for each star system, region, quadrant, galaxy, and planet. Inhabitable planets have a guardian gate in the form of a floating city place precisely between the outer layer of the planet and the vacuum space. It can be seen and yet it cannot be seen. The inhabitants of these guardian cities are a composite of selected beings from other planets, those who have proven themselves worthy. After their mortal life is done, they are re-born to become "officials". They are given specific duties within the standing order to look after the mortal population. Some of those "Officials", often those who have made "errors in judgment" during their cycle, are "re-cycled" into human form again to carry out "additional duties", duties that require them to be mortal. Not all are bad. Not all are good. Many are "in-between". Or so the story says. One such being is "Sarasvati" a glowing entity who arrives into Ho Kam Lo's adventure to warn him about the coming evil. However, she is eventually punished by the other gods for intervention with the mortals, her memory and powers are stripped off. She becomes a normal human who falls in love with Ho Kam Lo and joins him on his travels down the Silk Road and beyond. No story of heroes can be told without including antagonists that are of true evil and worthy of the fear they strike in humans. Ivriz is such a being and in order to save a world, Ho Kam Lo must rise from a humble merchant to a valiant magical warrior. All under the watchful eye of multiple beings capable of much mischief themselves, adding to Ho Kam Lo's trials. A small army of warriors known as "The Defenders of the Earth" whose single purpose is to keep humanity safe from those who would subjugate them. A Druid whose power is drawn from nature itself and who is locked into perpetual servitude to his evil master Ivriz. We watch as battles take place and lives are lost. All from the twelve tales of Ho Kam Lo. And thus the story begins, not at the beginning, but at the end. An old man's hands rest on an even older leather bound book with a strange symbol embossed on its cover. Slowly his hands untwine and open the cover to its list of twelve stories. Twelve stories of twelve adventures. Twelve marvelous adventures experienced by one not so special trader, who is just trying to make a living. He travels on his camel ,trading on the "Silk Road". A turn at a sign to a city that holds promise - so begins the first story of Ho Kam Lo. The story begins with his "Journey to the West". Our references in these twelve stories are offered with the greatest of respect for all religions, cultures and nations. FUTURE DEVELOPMENT Currently under development as a screenplay, the story of Ho Kam is being conceived initially as a concept CD collection that will lead to either an animated or live action feature length film. Ronggowisnu is working with U.S. based bassist and screenwriter Mark Bowen in this mix of cinema and music collaboration to create a truly unique and fresh new story of magic and wonder. Like the authors of past classic movies and stories, Ronggowisnu and Bowen draw on mythological and religious culture for characters, principles and story arch. Its many references to various cultures and religions only amplify its intent to be a positive reminder that all our beliefs are meant to strengthen and unite humanity, not rip it apart. Ronggowisnu has also started the video production of each of the 12 music tracks as a separate storytelling video clip using his own digital drawing art. A manga/anime anime comic book is also currently under development.
