It's always been tough for me to put into words what I do musically. Ever since I was young child I was moved by the sound of the guitar. The Rolling Stones' "Jumpin' Jack Flash" is what started it all at age six. Since then, I've always been a follower of sound. If the music is adventurous, I've probably listened to it. My first full-length album. "Gate of Charity," is my attempt to take the sounds I love and move them forward. I've heard people compare my music to jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower and Tommy Bolin. And that's great.\, I love all those guys. But I also would like to tip my hat to people like Paul Kossoff, Grant Green, Freddie King, Larry Coryell, Michael Schenker and Steve Morse for inspiration. These names are here to give any potential listeners what they might be in store for on these tunes. These songs are my best shot at reaching a higher state of consciousness. i know that might sound a little silly, arty or pretentious. But what the heck, you might as well aim for some lofty goal in life. I hope to achieve that by spreading some joy with the sounds contained in this album. And most importantly, I want to thank Carl Holloman Jr. (drums) and Tom McGovern (bass) for following me on this musical journey, being a great rhythm section and making theses song become a reality.
