简介
Ronnie Jackson was born in Corpus Christi Texas. He grew up in the middle class suburbs of Southwest Houston in the turbulent 1960s. He started playing the guitar shortly after that unforgettable Sunday night when the Beatles graced the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theatre. By the time he was in middle school he was playing at the local sock hops and private parties. As the front man of Harvey’s Meat Market, he led his band to compete in numerous Battle of the Bands competitions. He matured musically and enjoyed much success throughout his teen years. Somewhere along the way he started writing songs and by the end of High School he had established a modest following of faithful fans. In 1972 he traded his Fender Mustang guitar for an old Martin D35 and hit the road to see the world. He traveled the crawfish circuit from Jacksonville Florida all the way to Southern California. After several years in San Diego, he returned home and settled in Austin Texas, The Live Music Capitol of the World. He continued to write songs and polish his skills as he performed at places like the Alamo Hotel and the Armadillo World Headquarters. He competed and placed in numerous songwriting competitions throughout the 70s and 80s including the renowned Kerrville Folk Festival. Ronnie married his lovely wife Patty in 1987. They settled down and raised a family. He became a successful Real Estate Broker and General Contractor, but he never forgot his musical background. He has continued to develop his songwriting over the years and started recording his first CD in 2009. It has been said that an artist prepares their entire life for their first record. Love Songs and Lullabies is a compilation of songs written by Ronnie over the past 30 years. It tells a story of life, love and heartache. Ronnie would like to extend a special thanks to all those who have helped make this project possible, especially his loyal wife and family. It would not have been possible without their love, support and inspiration. May the world enjoy this collection of songs as much as Ronnie has enjoyed creating it.
