简介
"Dangerous Fundamentalists" is Over Mortal's first official release since their 2002 introductory album "Stronger In Spite of It", which also saw the dissolution of the band as a unit. For ten years, the name and sound of Over Mortal sat forgotten and relegated to the past; a memory for a few friends who once made music together. In late 2012, founding member Nicholas Mahaffey felt the urge to write about the his experiences and observations over the previous decade, and felt that the aggressive, unbridled sound of Over Mortal was the appropriate place to do it. With the blessing of his former band mates, he began to write and record in his home. In late 2013, songs were selected to be released as the "Dangerous Fundamentalists" EP. "Dangerous Fundamentalists" draws its energy and sound from the message that it is intended to deliver. At a time when those that tell the truth are quickly shouted down and labelled as a radical, a deliberate choice must be made to continue standing, to continue telling the truth, and to out-shout those who would twist, pervert, or outright hide the it. Those who make this choice, to stand and speak out, are called radicals, fanatics, lunatics, hate-mongers, even terrorists. Over Mortal are proud to be counted among the absolute, the irrepressible, the non-silent Dangerous Fundamentalists.
