My music over the decades has contained a reasonable track record of my life's interests from my awe of nature to the prospects of space travel, mind expansion and realising a full sense of awareness. To understand the world in and around me has been documented in all of my songs. Imagination is always key to my process in the studio, recording and layering and panning instruments to effectively create a stereo atmosphere and soundscape. Islands in Space continues to resound as space tourism is finally coming to play through Virgin Galactic's efforts and others. The astronaut's revelations as expressed by people like Canadian International Space Station commander Chris Hadfield remind us of this exciting and potentially grand frontier. I hope this song originally recorded in 1981 on a vinyl album of the same name continues to resinate into the future with its core message advancing that adventure and all of its potential for humankind.
